MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Europe cannot build stable security without Russia; for all its complexity, the current situation is not unsolvable, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said
"For the Germans and all Europeans it is totally clear that stable security cannot be built against Russia, but [it can be built] only with Russia," Scholz told a press conference after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
"So, there has to be a possibility to find a solution, however complicated the situation now is, I am not prepared to describe it as being unresolvable," Scholz said.
"For my generation, a war in Europe has become something unimaginable. We need to make sure it remains so. Our duty as heads of state and government is to prevent a military escalation in Europe," he added.
