Armenian, Russian FMs discuss settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations - Yerevan

YEREVAN. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have discussed efforts toward normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations in a phone call, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

"Mirzoyan and Lavrov exchanged opinions regarding the process of settling relations between Armenia and Turkey," it said.

The two ministers reviewed cooperation between Armenia and Russia in a bilateral and multilateral format, as well as the regional and international agenda.

"The Armenian and Russian foreign ministers discussed the implementation of agreements within the framework of the trilateral statements [on Karabakh, signed between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan]. The parties highlighted the importance of actions toward improving stability and security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and developing border delimitation and demarcation mechanisms," it said.
