LUHANSK. Feb 15 (Interfax) - The militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) opened return fire on Ukrainian military positions after a Ukrainian attack which killed one militiaman, military representative Anton Mizhukis told journalists on Tuesday.
"To protect the civilian population and to avoid further losses among the People's Militia, our defenders had to open fire," Mizhukis said.
The exact enemy losses are yet to be established, he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the LPR said one of its militiamen had been killed by Ukrainian army sniper fire.
