Peskov on Stoltenberg's remark about lack of de-escalation signs on Ukrainian border: NATO has situational analysis problems

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - NATO has problems with the relevant analysis of the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Journalists asked Peskov to comment on a statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who said he could not see any sign of de-escalation and withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian border but continued to observe further Russian military buildup.

"There seems to be a certain handicap in the NATO situational analysis system. It may be preventing NATO officers from soberly assessing the situation. There are situational analysis problems," Peskov said.
