Unlike Biden, Putin not planning to address world, Americans, as that would be unreasonable - Peskov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Unlike U.S. President Joe Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning to address the world and the people of America, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The president is continuing to give explanations to the entire world, he has done so repeatedly over the past week. While answering questions, he has given a comprehensive explanation of the Russian stance," Peskov said.

"It would probably be unreasonable to explain why Russia is not doing what the United States and the European capitals are practically demanding to do informationally," he said.

Peskov said he was referring to the explanations as to "why Russia is not attacking Ukraine."

As to whether Putin should also address the Americans, Peskov smiled and said, "About what? Should he urge them not to attack Canada?"
