MINSK. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Representatives of Belarusian and Latvian armed forces are discussing arms control at a working meeting in Riga on February 15-17, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
"Representatives of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia are holding a working meeting dealing with arms control in the Republic of Latvia on February 15-17," it said.
In particular, the parties are considering the implementation of an agreement between Belarus and Latvia on additional confidence and security-building measures dated March 5, 2004.
"The parties will discuss proposals aimed at improving the effectiveness of the confidence and security building measures being applied now and will coordinate aspects of bilateral cooperation on arms control," it said.
