KYIV. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reviewed a tactical exercise of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other security and defense forces as part of the Zametil (Snowstorm) 2022 command and staff exercise during a working visit to the Rivne region on Wednesday, the presidential press service said.
The president inspected types of weapons delivered to Ukraine by foreign partners, in particular, Javelin and NLAW anti-tank missile systems, Stinger missile systems and others, the statement said.
The security and defense forces have practiced combat operations in the border area to disrupt the organized advance of the mock enemy and their elimination, the press service said.
"In the training battle, the military units actively used, in particular, combat aviation, domestic and foreign unmanned aerial systems, among others, Bayraktar TB2, gun artillery, multiple rocket launchers, air defenses, Stugna-P and Corsair modern domestic anti-tank guided missiles, and NLAW, FGM-148 Javelin, SMAW M-141 provided by our partners," it said.
Besides, the president familiarized himself with the work of the operational staff at the command post of the mechanized brigade.
Ukraine's Rivne region borders on Belarus, where the Russian-Belarusian Union Resolve 2022 exercise is currently underway.
