Azerbaijani, Russian FMs discuss situation in S. Caucasus, Ukraine in telephone call

BAKU. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov talked by telephone on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the South Caucasus, the bilateral agenda, and Ukraine, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

"The ministers discussed relevant items on the bilateral cooperation agenda," it said.

Bayramov and Lavrov reviewed the situation in the region, including the implementation of the trilateral statements on Karabakh, and exchanged opinions on the current situation in and around Ukraine, it said.

They also discussed interaction within the framework of Azerbaijan's presidency of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation, it said.
