LPR reports 5 attacks on its territory on Thurs

LUHANSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have mounted five attacks on the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) since the beginning of the day, the LPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told Interfax.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine have gravely violated the ceasefire by using heavy weapons, which, according to the Minsk Agreements, should be withdrawn," the LPR mission to the JCCC said.

On Thursday morning, the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on five localities in the LPR: Sokilnyky, Zolote-5, Veselenke, Nyzhne Lozove, and Donetskiy, using 82mm and 120mm mortars, AGS and SPG grenade launchers, and large-caliber machineguns, it said.

"Information on casualties and damage is being verified," the LPR mission said.
