ROSTOV-ON-DON. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Traffic police are escorting convoys of military hardware that are returning to the home bases upon completion of a military exercise in Crimea, the press service for Russia's Southern Military District said.
"Traffic police have already escorted about 10 convoys with large-size, heavy and hazardous cargoes. More than half of the convoys covered more than 500 kilometers. Some of the convoys also used the Tavrida motorway over the Crimean Bridge across the Kerch Strait," the press service said.
After reaching its permanent bases, the military hardware will undergo maintenance and will be prepared for the next routine drills, it said.
