LUHANSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of again violating the ceasefire.
The Ukrainian army again opened fire on three occasions between 8:55 a.m. and 9:08 a.m. on Thursday, the LPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told Interfax.
The Ukrainian army used 120mm mortars and grenade launchers against districts of the localities of Raivka, Sokilnyky and Donetskiy, it said.
Earlier on Thursday, the LPR mission to the JCCC reported five attacks mounted by the Ukrainian army since the beginning of the day.
The LPR and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have reported a sharp escalation of tensions along the contact line.
Kyiv, in turn, said on Thursday that the militia committed eight ceasefire violations the day before, on February 16, entailing no casualties.
