DPR reports Ukrainian army's mortar attack on Horlivka

DONETSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Mortars of the Ukrainian army have shelled the outskirts of Horlivka in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the republic's mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center said on Thursday.

"Sixteen 82mm munitions were fired from Leninske at Horlivka (the Gagarin mine compound), and another 16 munitions of the 82mm caliber were fired from Mayorske at Horlivka (the Izotov mine compound)," the mission said.

The DPR reported a drastic escalation of tensions on the Donbas contact line earlier on Thursday.
