Lukashenko watches joint operation of Polonez, Iskander systems during Union Resolve 2022 exercise

MINSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has watched the joint operations of Belarusian and Russian forces at the Osipovichsky range during the Union Resolve 2022 exercise, the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA said on Thursday.

"At the range, the head of state was briefed about the exercise, the location of the joint contingent, and the drills held by various units of the Belarusian and Russian armies. The president also listened to reports on operations of Belarusian and Russian missile forces and the formation of a joint group comprising Polonez rocket launchers and Russian Iskander short-range missile systems," the news agency said.

The joint group performed an electronic launch of missiles at the range.

"Missile battalion commanders informed the commander-in-chief about commendable performance of the Polonez and Iskander systems during the exercise," the news agency said.
