Lukashenko wants to buy Iskander systems from Russia or receive them as present

MINSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Belarus plans to acquire Iskander-M tactical missile systems and other state-of-the-art weapons from Russia or to receive them as a present.

"As regards military hardware, I took a look at it today: there are several types of advanced hardware that we need. I mean Iskander [systems] and others. We will buy this hardware or will receive it from our big brother as a present," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted President Alexander Lukashenko as telling reporters on Thursday at the Osipovichsky range, which is hosting the Union Resolve 2022 Russian-Belarusian joint military exercise.
