Lavrov denies Russian military buildup on NATO borders (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - There is no Russian military buildup on NATO borders, while the alliance is continuing to strengthen its eastern flank, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"I mean, in response to statements that Russian forces are operating within the national territory, we are not invading anyone and we are not increasing our presence on the NATO borders, NATO is doing exactly what it accuses us of," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow, as he commented on NATO defense ministers' remarks about the deployment of additional NATO forces on the eastern flank.

NATO's "sense of superiority and infallibility has gone through the roof," Lavrov said.

"Regretfully, our NATO colleagues are going over the top," he said.
