MINSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he does not plan to leave his post and sees himself as the eternal president if the West continues attacking Belarus.
"If the West continues attacking Belarus, I will be the eternal president," the BelTA state-run news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying after watching the Union Resolve 2022 exercise of Belarus and Russia at the Osipovichsky range on Thursday.
Lukashenko also named the conditions under which he is ready to leave the post of president. "If the collective West, primarily the Americans, takes Belarus out of the crosshairs and does not turn things upside down here by various means as it was in 2020, everything will be lawful and orderly, and will take place sooner than you or rather they want," he said.
At the same time, he assured that if the West continues attacking Belarus he will be "the eternal president."
