MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has declined to comment on reports about the flight of an airplane of a Russian special flight unit to Iceland or disclose its purpose.
When asked by reporters whether the flight of the unit's Aircraft A-319 to Iceland on February 14-15 was for the purpose of possible talks with NATO or U.S. representatives, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said. "The special flight unit performs flights in line with official usefulness considerations. It carries official Russian delegations and officials. But I'm not in the position to give you any information specifically about all flights, and we won't do that," he said.
