Zelensky visits army forward positions in Donbas

KYIV. Feb 17 (Interfax) - On a working trip to Donetsk region, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the army's first line of defense where intense shelling continues, his Office said on Thursday.

The president inspected brand new weapons and equipment, including Javelin portable anti-tank missile systems FGM-148 and NLAWs and an M141 grenade launcher, it said.

"Volodymyr Zelensky also observed the frontline positions and got himself acquainted with the operational and tactical situation in the area of responsibility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement said.
