MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - The schedule for the return of Russian forces to their places of permanent deployment after exercises is in the planning stage, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said.
"Commanders of forces and military units which have completed the entire package of combat training activities at combat ranges, are tasked with elaborating their plans and schedules for the return of troops to the points of permanent deployment," Konashenkov said on Thursday.
"Having completed their marches, the first units are arriving at their garrisons," he said.
"In accordance with the Russian Armed Forces' plan of training, the formations and units that earlier accomplished their missions on ranges are making marches to their places of permanent deployment in a combined manner," he said.
"Heavy weapons and vehicles are being loaded onto platform carriages. Some formations are marching as part of road convoys escorted by military police," Konashenkov said.
