KYIV. Feb 18 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army observed 60 ceasefire violations in Donbas on February 17 and another six this morning; a soldier has been injured, another one has sustained a combat trauma, two civilians have been wounded and three have a concussion, but no one has died.
"Today [...] six ceasefire violations have been recorded, including four by weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. [...] There are no fatalities in the Joint Forces," the staff of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook on Friday.
For instance, 122mm artillery systems were fired upon Bolotene and Novohnativka, there were two attacks of 120mm mortars and heavy machine guns on Starohnativka, mounted automatic grenade launchers fired upon Chermalyk, and 82mm mortars attacked Shum.
The enemy committed 60 ceasefire violations on February 17, including 43 using weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, the staff said.
A hostile drone flew over the Donetsk region and crossed the contact line, it said.
"A serviceman of the Joint Forces was wounded, and another one sustained a combat trauma. [...] Two civilians were injured," the staff said.
The attacks damaged a kindergarten, a power transmission line and a gas pipeline, and ruined two private homes in Stanytsia Luhanska. Three kindergarten employees have concussions. In addition, hostile artillery fired upon Vrubivka and damaged a general education school, a gas pipeline and a private home, the staff said.
All parties to the armed conflict in Donbas reported a drastic increase in attacks on Thursday.
