Roscosmos says ready to extend ISS operation until 2030

BEIJING. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Roscosmos is ready to extend the International Space Station (ISS)'s operation until 2030, according to Executive Director for Manned Space Programs Sergei Krikalev.

"From the standpoint of programs, we are ready to extend operation of the station's Russian segment until 2030," Krikalev said at a symposium on prospective cooperation in piloted missions to low near-Earth orbits.

The corporation is waiting for a government decision, "so that the agreement passes through the formal approval process," he said.
