MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Moscow has information about the recruitment of mercenaries in the Balkans for fighting in Donbas, and this information is being verified, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday.
"Kosovo and some other parts of the Western Balkans are evolving into a breeding ground for crime. There are terrorists and drug dealers there. Besides, mercenaries are recruited there for conflicts stealthily incited by the United States among others," Lavrov said in an interview with the RT television channel.
"There is information that mercenaries are being recruited in Kosovo, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to destabilize Russia and to fight in Donbas. We are checking this information," Lavrov said.
