MINSK. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Neither Belarusians, nor Russians need a war, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Minsk on Friday.
"Taking into account the urgency of the situation, the [Russian] president and I paid a lot of attention to those issues in particular, discussed our possible actions together as a response to the aggressive behavior of our Western partners. I would like to reiterate that no one wants not just a war, but even any exacerbation of the situation and some conflicts. We - Russians and Belarusians, residents of the Russian Federation and Belarus, do not need it," Lukashenko said.
