MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said he is not aware of what is currently happening in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"I don't know what is currently happening in [DPR head Denis] Pushilin's territory," Peskov told journalists, when asked to comment on the DPR's decision to evacuate women and children to Russia's Rostov region.
Peskov said he was unaware whether this decision had been agreed upon with Russia. "I don't know what's happening there," he said.
Peskov also declined to answer whether Russia stands ready to accommodate refugees. "I don't know with whom there have been contacts, I have no information," he said, adding that it is for that reason that he cannot comment on the matter for now.
