MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Russian naval infantrymen armed with mortars practiced destruction of mock enemy hardware during the joint Union Resolve 2022 exercise with Belarus, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on Friday.
"During a mock battle, the naval infantry artillerymen practiced preparing and engaging fire on stationary and moving targets imitating personnel and equipment of illegal armed formations," the statement said.
The troops fired 82mm Podnos mortar launchers at a distance of over 3,000 meters. The tactical episode was played out at the training range in Obuz-Lesnovsky.
