Terrorist attack prevented at chemical enterprise in Russia's Kaluga region - FSB

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Two followers of the ISIL terrorist organization, banned in Russia, who plotted a terrorist attack at a local chemical industry enterprise, have been killed in the Kaluga region, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said.

"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation prevented an act of terrorism in the Kaluga region. It was plotted by two natives of Central Asian countries, who planned to use an improvised explosive device and incendiary mixtures to blow up cisterns with fuel products at a chemical industry enterprise," the FSB said.

"As they were detained, the suspects offered armed resistance and sustained lethal injuries being hit by return fire," it said.
