YEKATERINBURG. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Reconnaissance units from the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan have trained at the Lyaur range, the press service for the Russian Central Military District said on Friday.
"The troops fired small arms and standard weapons of combat hardware, held tactical and reconnaissance drills, and practiced driving combat vehicles," the press service said.
Emphasis was put on individual training of reconnaissance units, including skills of survival in the mountains, it said.
The drills were held at the highland range during daytime and at night. The troops used night sights, night vision devices and thermal imagers in the nighttime training, the press service said.
