BELGOROD. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has reported the death of a woman in an attack on a village in the Shebekino urban district of Russia's Belgorod region on Monday.
"Novaya Tavolzhanka has come under artillery fire again. The shells mostly hit a parking lot and a utility building of a poultry factory, where people prepare to begin their shift. One person is dead, a woman in a severe condition died on an ambulance from multiple fragmentation injuries," Gladkov said on Telegram.
Another person is injured, he said.
The region's border areas have come under Ukrainian attacks since February 24, 2022. There are civilian casualties. This led the region to declare a yellow (high) terror alert. A state of emergency has been imposed on 15 border villages.
