ABU DHABI, UAE. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Russia started promoting the exports of 15 new weapon systems last year, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev told Interfax.
"Rosoboronexport started to promote 15 new Russian military products for all arms and branches of the Armed Forces in 2022. New unmanned aerial vehicles and drone countermeasure systems also appeared then. The main result is the promotion is the move forward and the enlargement of the range of weapons and military hardware on the global market," Mikheyev said at the IDEX 2023 exhibition.
Fifteen Russian weapons and military hardware samples received export licenses last year, he said.
"The Orlan-30 UAV, the Ballista remotely-controlled combat module, the Chukavin sniper rifle, drone countermeasure systems, BMP-3 with a new remotely-controlled combat module, the Zavet-D automated artillery control system, and simulators for the Ilyushin Il-78MK-90A tanker plane and the Il-76MD-90A (E) military transport plane are among the main products," Mikheyev said.
Rosoboronexport accomplished its tasks in 2022, yet the final financial results will be reported to the Russian president in the first turn, he said.
The company has been observing an increased interest of foreign partners in modern Russian products lately, Mikheyev said. This includes Kamov Ka-52E and Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters, Sukhoi Su-57E and Su-35 fighter jets, Iskander-E short-range ballistic missile systems, T-90M Proryv tanks, BMPT tank support vehicles, TOS-1A heavy flamethrowers, guided munitions for tube artillery, Orlan-10E and Orion-E unmanned aerial vehicles, Kub-E loitering munitions, coastal missile systems, Club-S and Club-N missile systems, Pantsir-S1, Viking and Tor air defense missile systems, Igla-S and Verba MANPADS, and various ECM systems, including drone countermeasure systems.
