Russian Defense Ministry reports taking control of Paraskoviyevka in DPR

MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Russian forces have taken control of the village of Paraskoviyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"As a result of a successful offensive in the Donetsk sector, volunteers from assault units, acting together with airborne forces with fire support by missile forces and artillery of the southern group of forces, have taken full control of the populated locality of Paraskoviyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.

The Ukrainian army lost over 115 troops, as well as an infantry combat vehicle, three armored combat vehicles, two trucks, two Grad multiple rocket launchers, a D-30 howitzer, a Rapira anti-tank gun, and a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-mortar radar in the Donetsk sector over the past day, Konashenkov said.
