MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Russia's Energia Rocket and Space Corporation has ruled out any possibility of manufacturing defects in the thermal control system of spaceships after analyzing the history of complaints about this system over the past 15 years, the Roscosmos press service said on Tuesday.
"In order to rule out the theory of manufacturing defects, the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation has analyzed the history of complaints regarding the thermal control system over the past 15 years," Roscosmos said.
"No complaints that could have led to an emergency like this one have been found," the enterprise said in a report, excerpts from which were circulated by the Roscosmos press service.
"The reliability reserve of the thermal control system is one year after a spaceship's launch. Therefore, the system's reliability is guaranteed given the nominal conditions of its operation," the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation said in its report.
The received information allowed the state commission to make a decision regarding the possibility of the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft's unmanned launch to the International Space Station, it said.
"This launch has been scheduled for February 24 with docking to the station on February 26," Roscosmos said.
