MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Roscosmos will carry out ground-based experiments to simulate the damage sustained by the Progress MS-21 resupply ship in order to work out measures to protect spacecraft from meteoroids and space debris, the Roscosmos press service said on Tuesday.
"There are plans to carry out a number of ground-based experiments to simulate damage similar to that detected on the Progress MS-21 spacecraft," Roscosmos said.
"It will help conclusively analyze all theories and to work out measures to counteract such threats during the development and production of spaceships and satellites," it said.
Roscosmos specialists are continuing to analyze all received information concerning the situation with the Soyuz MS-22 manned spacecraft and the Progress MS-21 cargo carrier, it said.
