The longer the range Western weapons supplied to Ukraine have, the farther Russia will push threats away from its borders - Putin

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - The longer the range Western weapons supplied to Ukraine will have, the farther Russia will be pushing the threats away from its borders, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"One thing should be clear to everyone: the longer the range Western weapons supplied to Ukraine will have, the farther we will have to push the threat away from our borders. This is only natural," Putin said in his address to the Federal Assembly on Tuesday.

The West has been using Ukraine as both a ram against Russia and a testing range, he said.

"I'd rather not dwell on the Western attempts to change the course of the combat operations and their plans to ramp up military supplies now. Everyone is already well aware of that," Putin said.
