Russian Defense Ministry reports combined fire on Ukrainian forces near Ugledar, some other populated localities in DPR

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Russian forces have delivered combined strikes on Ukrainian forces near Ugledar, Prechistovka and Zolotaya Niva in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, artillery and heavy flamethrowers of the eastern group of forces delivered combined strikes on units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Ugledar, Prechistovka and Zolotaya Niva in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

"Up to 70 Ukrainian troops were killed, and two tanks, two armored combat vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher and a D-20 howitzer were destroyed over the day," he said.

Konashenkov also said that a Ukrainian ammo depot was hit near Ugledar.

"In the Kherson sector, an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were destroyed as a result of counter-battery actions, alongside a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-mortar radar destroyed near Tomina Balka in the Kherson region," he said.

A Ukrainian ammo depot was destroyed in the city of Kherson, Konashenkov said.
