MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Before revisiting the problems of the Russian-U.S. Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (New START), Russia should understand what France and the United Kingdom are seeking in this context, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We should understand for ourselves what such North Atlantic alliance countries as France and the United Kingdom are aspiring for and how we will account for their strategic arsenals, that is, the alliance's combined striking capability," Putin said in his address to the Russian Federal Assembly on Tuesday.
