MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - The Scientific and Technical Council (STC) has approved a decision by chief designers to extend the service of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) until 2028, Roscosmos said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Today at the Roscosmos state corporation, the presidium of its Scientific and Technical Council considered and approved a resolution of the Council of Chief Design Engineers to extend the service period of the ISS Russian segment until 2028," the statement said.
The results of the STC meeting will be reflected in Roscosmos documentation requesting the government to extend the segment's operation until 2028, it said.
