WASHINGTON. Feb 21 (Interfax) - The United States does not refuse the opportunity to hold talks with Russia on strategic arms limitations, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters on Tuesday.
"Of course, we remain ready to talk about strategic arms limitations at any time with Russia irrespective of anything else going on in the world or in our relationship," the U.S. Department of State cited him as saying.
Russia's decision to suspend participation in New START is "deeply unfortunate and irresponsible," Blinken said.
"We'll be watching carefully to see what Russia actually does," he said.
