WASHINGTON. Feb 21 (Interfax) - President of the United States Joe Biden has promised that Washington is ready for long-time support to Ukraine and that NATO is united over this stance.
"There should be no doubt, our support for Ukraine will not waiver. NATO will not be divided and will not tire," Biden said in his speech outside the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
"Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia," he said.
In addition, the U.S. president mentioned that the U.S. would impose new sanctions on Russia later this week.
Biden arrived in Poland on Monday evening; his visit will end on February 22.
The U.S. leader visited Kiev on Monday and had talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Biden said that the U.S. is planning to allocate a new package of military assistance worth $500 million to Ukraine.
