YEKATERINBURG. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Troops from the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan have trained jamming a mock enemy's communication systems at a highland range in Tajikistan, the press service for the Russian Central Military District said on Wednesday.
"Specialists have jammed the signal of radio and satellite communication channels, including the channels controlling and transmitting data of unmanned reconnaissance and attack drones," the press service said.
A Borisoglebsk system was used in the drill, it said.
The Borisoglebsk ECM system disrupts control of enemy forces, tracks down and suppresses sources of electronic radiation in all frequency ranges, including those spare.
The 201st military base in Tajikistan is Russia's largest military facility abroad. The base is located in the cities of Dushanbe and Bokhtar and consists of motorized infantry, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, air defense, radiation, chemical and biological protection, and signals units.
