MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Continuation of the Western policy of stuffing Ukraine with weapons and hindering every chance of negotiations with Russia is fraught with a global nuclear catastrophe, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.
"Of course, stuffing of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime with weapons and hindering of every chance of resuming negotiations may continue. This is exactly what our enemies are doing, as they refuse to realize that their goals are doomed to a complete fiasco. Everyone's loss. A disaster. An apocalypse. When former life will have to be forgotten for centuries, until the smoky blockages cease to emit radiation," Medvedev said in an article published by the newspaper Izvestia.
"If the question of existence of Russia itself is actually raised, it won't be resolved on the Ukrainian front but together with the question of further existence of the entire human civilization," he said.
"We do not need a world without Russia," Medvedev said, adding, "Russia will not allow that to happen."
"This is not just our aspiration. Western countries and their satellites constitute only 15% of the planetary population. Our numbers are much bigger, and we are much stronger. The quiet might of our big country and the authority of its partners are a key of the future for our entire world," Medvedev said.
