Putin notes Special Ops Forces' ability to effectively accomplish missions in any regions

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated servicemen and veterans of the Special Operations Forces on their professional holiday.

"All fighters and commanders of the Special Operations Forces are distinguished by the highest level of training, the ability and readiness to act boldly, decisively, with lightning speed in key areas and directions, and to effectively accomplish the most difficult and essential missions of strategic importance in any regions of the world - where security and national interests of Russia, our people require it," Putin said in his message published on the Kremlin website.

"Your life choice is the path of valor and courage, selfless devotion to the fatherland, and fidelity to duty and oath. You have proven that in combat, including during the special military operation, by fulfilling the order to the end, protecting your comrades, rescuing women, children and elderly people, and defending Russia, our citizens and our land from the neo-Nazi threat," the message said.

"Your knowledge and professional skills, exemplary discipline and high morale are vital to the comprehensive training of young fighters, those who have the honor to serve with the Special Operations Forces. Your direct involvement in combat cohesion, quality training of our citizens recruited for military service in the course of partial mobilization deserves a special mention," it said.
