MINSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Belarus can make any types of weapons together with Russia, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.
"Please note that despite the unprecedented pressure from sanctions we make enough weapons and military hardware to accommodate the needs of the Belarusian army," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying at a meeting on the financing of military procurements in Minsk on Monday.
"The thing is that we easily get everything we need, I mean hardware, from Russia. As for microelectronic, optic and other products, we praise those who preserved manufacturing facilities inherited by us from the Soviet Union, so we are able to make any types of weapons together with Russia," Lukashenko said.
