Kremlin pays great attention to China-proposed settlement plan for Ukraine - Peskov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is paying great attention to a settlement plan for Ukraine proposed by China but believes its details must be analyzed carefully, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Any attempts to develop plans helping redirect the conflict onto a peaceful track deserve attention. We treat the plan of our Chinese friends with such great attention," Peskov told journalists in commenting on Beijing's initiative on Monday.

"As for details, certainly, details must be carefully analyzed, with the interests of very different sides taken into consideration. This is a very lengthy and intensive process," he said.

Currently, the Kremlin "doesn't see any preconditions for this whole story to turn onto a peaceful track," he said.

"The special military operation is continuing for the time being, and we're moving toward attaining the goals that have been set," he said.
