MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Russian government has approved a draft law on the shift of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Moscow time, the government's website reported on Monday.
"The draft federal law On Changes to Article 5 of the Federal Law On Time Keeping shall be approved and submitted to the State Duma in Accordance with the Established Procedure," according to a decision made in a government meeting on February 22, 2023.
The federal law currently does not outline procedures for time keeping in the DPR, LPR, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the government's press service said.
"The bill is aimed at including these regions in the territories that form the second time zone (Moscow time, UTC+3)," the report said.
