MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Iskander-M tactical ballistic missile systems conducted mock solo and group strikes during an exercise in the Kaliningrad region, Russia's Baltic Fleet said on Monday.
"The missile crews advanced covertly to the assigned launch site where, having set up launch positions, they conducted electronic solo and group strikes against simulated missile launchers, air fields, protected facilities and command posts of a mock enemy," a statement said.
Iskander-M missile system can accurately engage targets within up to 500 kilometers. It is designed to destroy critical enemy sites, the statement said.
