MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Foreign citizens enrolling in military service under a contract with the Russian Armed Forces will be eligible to conclude their first contract for one year instead of five.
The relevant Russian presidential decree was published on the official website of legal information on Monday.
It is stated in the document that a foreign national enlisting for military service to take a military position available for military ranks such as soldier, sailor, sergeant or sergeant-major under the relevant staffing table will be offered to sign their first contract for one year.
