Russian Pacific Fleet destroyers eliminate mock enemy in Sea of Japan

VLADIVOSTOK. April 27 (Interfax) - Two destroyers of the Russian Pacific Fleet have trained at hunting down and eliminating a mock enemy submarine in the Primorye Territory, the fleet press service said on Thursday.

"The Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs destroyers of the Pacific Fleet trained at jointly hunting, detecting and eliminating a mock enemy submarine at one of the fleet's maritime ranges," the press service said.

According to the exercise scenario, the fleet's territorial control center received information about a submarine cruising through Russian territorial waters in the Sea of Japan. Two destroyers were deployed to the site, tracked down the submarine and engaged the mock enemy. They carried out simulated launches of RBU-6000 rockets and torpedoes.
