MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - The Russian military has reported the interception of two Storm Shadow cruise missiles in the past 24 hours.
"Air defense has intercepted a Grom-2 short-range missile, ten projectiles of HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems, and two Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Friday.
Twenty Ukrainian drones were downed in a number of areas over the day, he said.
"A Ukrainian ST-68UM low-altitude target surveillance and assignment radar was destroyed near Novonikolayevka in the Nikolayev region," Konashenkov said.
The Russian Defense Ministry has been reporting the interception of Ukrainian Storm Shadow cruise missiles in the zone of the special military operation since May 15.
The ministry said earlier that Ukraine had fired Storm Shadow missiles, supplied by the UK, at Lugansk on May 12.
