MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - New supplies of foreign weapons to Kiev will not change anything on the battlefield, but will only aggravate the situation for Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"From the point of view of changes on the battlefield it will not give anything - the supply of new weapons will only aggravate the situation, and it will aggravate for the Ukrainian side and will fuel the conflict further," Putin said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"If someone is interested in it, and apparently, someone is interested, then it's the best way to achieve this task, to fuel the conflict further, to supply new weapons," he said.
In the meantime, Putin said any country has a right to ensure its security. "Of course, it has the right to choose the way of achieving this goal that it considers right, there is only one restriction, it is associated with the fact that, when the security of one country is ensured, security threats should not be created for a different country," Putin said.
"Therefore, we are working on the assumption that this principle, which was declared many times in various international documents, will still be taken into account," he said.
"And Ukraine, of course, has a right to ensure its security," the Russian president said.
