ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 14 (Interfax) - The Crimean Arbitration Court will hold the first hearing of the lawsuit versus Ukraine over blocked water supply to the peninsula on July 31, Crimean Parliament Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov said.
"The first hearing of the case of Ukraine's blocking of water supply to Crimea will take place at the Arbitration Court on July 31. It is due to discuss the involvement of third parties, among them the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, in the proceeding. The hearing of case merits is tentatively planned for September," Konstantinov said on Telegram on Friday.
Lawyers are drafting a template for claims of legal entities affected by the water blockade, he said.
"This includes such enterprises as the Crimea Soda Plant, the Titan Plant and others. Templates of claims of persons, individual entrepreneurs, are also being drafted," Konstantinov said.
The Crimean Arbitration Court registered a lawsuit of the Crimean authorities, seeking compensation of 152.2-billion-ruble damage done by Ukraine's water blockade, in early July.
The water blockade of Crimea began in spring 2014 with a dam, which blocked the North Crimean Canal in the Kherson region.
